Seven Days.

Only seven days before we fly.  Lots has happened over the past few months.  There has been so much to figure out and do just to get ready.  A house to pack up (ongoing), finding renters, straightening out home/car/life/health insurance (ongoing), seeing family and friends (ongoing), telling employers and coworkers ...

And the kids (we have three ages 8, 5 and 3) -- they kind of get it but they mostly don't.  I don't think we even fully get it.  We have them registered in school, which meant buying books and school supplies (because we were told that many books are not available there).  We have a place to live for the first month -- then we need to find something more permanent.  I have already planned my first trip back to be back in the office and take care of the loose ends here that I don't think we will even know exist until we have been gone for a month.

The plan is to post pictures and video of our adventures and to log our journey.  The boring stuff is almost done (but it still seems there is so much to do).  The fun begins soon ...
